Michael Jakob (“Michi”) is the former Global Head of Emerging Markets Loan Syndicate (ex-Apac) at Credit Suisse. He is an experienced Loan Syndication Banker with a long-standing track record of syndicating risk, particularly in Global Emerging Markets. During his tenure at Credit Suisse, he managed the desks in New York and London responsible for all Latam and CEEMEA private debt distribution for Credit Suisse’ Global Financing Group, placing a yearly deal volume of $5BN to $10BN. 

  

Since leaving Credit Suisse Michi has set up an advisory boutique, Global Capital Consult LLC , advising financial institutions and other providers and originators of debt and/or equity in raising capital and syndicating transactions. The particular focus of the firm is capital raising and placement in Emerging and Frontier Markets globally. 

  

He earned an MPhil from the Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish. Michi is a German Citizen who has been residing in New York City since 1997. Passionate about Physical Comedy and humanitarian work, he volunteers as Treasurer on the Board of Clowns Without Borders USA.
