Ian Tweedley has 40 years of experience across Emerging and Frontier market fixed income sales, trading, and origination with a focus on less liquid, high yield and distressed credit starting at Libra Bank, one of the first Latin American consortium merchant banks in London in the early 1980s.

 

The bulk of Ian's recent career includes12 years as CEO and head of sales at Exotix USA, Inc. a specialist and innovative frontier market broker dealer and investment bank where he initiated and established trading in distressed sovereign and corporate bonds and loans, as well as access product for less liquid frontier local currencies.  Prior to that he spent 17 years heading up the Emerging market sales and trading desk for WestLb, New York, where he spearheaded structured emerging market credit note issuance and sales, and led placement of Latin American corporate and bank private and public new issues.  He has also held senior emerging market sales management and sales positions at Oppenheimer & Co., and Stonex.
